Helen Elizabeth Miller Kroner died on Tuesday, August 6, 2013, in Independence, MO at 96 years of age.
Helen was born on October 23, 1916 in Moberly MO where she was a life-long resident. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jefferson Chester Miller and Nora Belle Bordwine Miller, her elder sister Ruth Marie Miller Clark, and younger brothers George William Miller, Chester “Junior” Miller, and Ralph Edwin Miller.
Helen is survived by her son Elmo “Mo” Kroner Jr and his wife Sharon Maxey Kroner of Independence, MO; granddaughters and their husbands Julie and Dan Garland of Webster Groves MO and Stacy and Tom Ernst of Kansas City MO; great-grandchildren Shane, Jamie and Sydney Garland and Jake, Max and Joseph Ernst; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen owned and operated Helen’s Beauty Salon in Moberly for over 50 years and was a member of St. Pius X Church. She will be remembered for her outlandish ear-rings, fun-loving sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh.
After cremation Helen’s ashes will be buried in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Moberly, where a graveside service is planned at a time yet to be arranged.
