Henrietta “Fuzzy” Cross

Henrietta “Fuzzy” Cross, our beloved centenarian, who in her life was a daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and friend passed away on June 21, 2010 at the age of 104. She was at home with her family and under Hospice Care at the time of her passing. Henrietta’s zest for life was demonstrated by her long and productive life. She is survived by so many who have very fond memories of her and she will live on in their memories. She was, as God’s creation, an original! Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Nelson Cross. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Tom Eblen, son and daughter- in-law Wayne and Lenore Cross. She was blessed with five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, four great- great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, July 8, at Platte Woods United Methodist Church. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m., with a service following at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Henrietta’s name to Crossroads Hospice or a charity of your choice.
