Henry R. “Hank” Bolander, 65, of North Kansas City Missouri, passed away on May 14,2016. A celebration of life will be held at Macken Park North Kansas City, MO 64116 shelter #2, 3-6 pm, Sunday, June 5th 2016.
Henry was born in Port Clinton, Ohio 9-26-1950. He served in the U.S. Army 12-26-70 – 8-13-73. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to canoe and camp with his family. He also had a passion for arrowhead hunting and billiards. He retired from Vance Brothers Co. in 2015. His favorite thing in the world was to sit at home on a sunday and be visited by his family and friends over dinner and a bonfire. Henry was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Jean Bolander and “brother” Raymond Dowell. Survivors include wife Louise, daughters Sheryl Johnson and husband Bud, Tabatha Spoor and husband Brett, and Angela Carver and husband Caleb, and step son Timothy Brubeck and wife Mallory, and “daughter” Melissa Hadley and husband Jason. Also his 14 grandchildren, 3 brothers and 2 sisters and many niece’s and nephews.
Hank would love to give back to what he enjoyed the most so, in lieu of flowers, donations to, Ozark Heritage Project/Rick Mansfield, 701 CR 602 Ellington, MO 63638 would be most appreciated.
