Homer Hilton

Homer Hilton, 91, of Raytown passed away March 14, 2017. A visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 10:30AM with a service to follow at 11:00AM at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society. Graveside services will be held at 1:00PM at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri.
He was born in Spokane, Missouri on November 30, 1925 to Ethel and Guy Hilton. The draft was awaiting him at graduation and he served on the USS Laurens. Homer retired from the United States Postal Service as Postmaster in Parkville, Missouri. HE had a great love for hunting, horses, & family. He enjoyed his 36+ years of retirement.
Preceded in death by wife of 52 years, Thelma, and several brothers and sister.
He is survived by children; Carolyn & Kenny (Dana) and 2 grandchildren, siblings Bob Hilton and Gerry Manes, & many nieces and nephews.
