Horace Wise

Horace Benedict Wise, 93, Overland Park, KS formerly of Pittsburg, KS died July 7, 2007. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held from 3:00-5:00 PM, July 13, 2007 at The Forum, 3501 W. 95th St. Overland Park, KS. The burial will be held in Weir, KS at a later date. Horace was born April 13, 1914 in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from Northeast High School in 1932 and was a professional photographer for 65 years. He married Wilma I. Horsley on June 2, 1939. Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Wilma; son, John H. Wise & wife, Joan of Archie, MO; daughters, Jan Wise of Washburn, WI, Marsha Scott & husband Wallly of Prairie Village, KS, Karen Jones & husband Bob of Roeland Park, KS; niece, Marlyss & Gary May of Portland, OR; nephew, Mark Wise; seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Horace is preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Mary Wise , 3 brothers, and 1 sister. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to United Methodist Church in Weir, KS.
