    I was there when you were killed and I was heart broken. You were an amazing person, a role model, and a mentor to me. I miss you and I think about you all the time. I’ve started taking steps to follow in your footsteps. I’ve qualified for Special Forces, and am preparing for the grueling two years of training to come. I leave for Fort Benning October 5, and when we meet again I hope to be able to tell you of my accomplishments, my efforts to honor your memory. I’ll make you proud. With love- Zack
