Jack Evans, 88, Raytown, Mo., died quietly at home on June 21, 2008, after a long illness. He spent his entire life in the Kansas City area except for six years served in active duty as a U.S. Marine in WWII of which he was very proud. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Julie Evans; his three children, Tony (Connie King) Evans, Leslie (Mark) Kupersmith and Mary Jo (Doug) Wilson; and six grandchildren, Katie Evans Harbison, Valerie Evans, Emily and Ellen Kupersmith and Alex and Sam Wilson. His is also survived by his sister, Marguerite Evans Crafton; and three nephews, Steve, Ralph and Richard Crafton. A visitation will be held at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 9020 E. 51st Terrace, KCMO on Thursday, June 26, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. immediately followed by a memorial service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to NorthCare Hospice, 2900 Clay Edwards Dr., NKC, MO 64116.
