Jacqueline E. Hahn

Jacqueline E. Hahn, 92, of Independence, Missouri passed away September 23, 2025. Jacqueline was born February 9, 1933 to Vernon and Dorothy White in Lebanon, Kansas. She grew up in Iola, graduating from high school in 1950 and then attended Iola Junior College until she married Bill D. Hahn on May 20, 1951. Bill’s time in the Army sent them to Georgia, where Jacqueline worked for Archer Hosiery Mill in Columbus. They eventually moved to Independence, Missouri after Bill’s service in the military.

Jacqueline was a former member of Blue Ridge United Methodist Church and later attended Woods Chapel United Methodist Church. She was involved in many clubs and organizations such as being a former member of the Independence Jr. Chamber of Commerce Wives Club; Independence Jr. Service League; volunteered as a tour guide at the Truman Library and most importantly, she was a proud member of Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is preceded in death by her husband Bill. Survivors include sons W. Nicholas Hahn (Diane); Joel B. Hahn (Zetta); grandson Major Zachary Hahn; sister Virginia Newland (Dr. Dale Newland); and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 10am, Thursday, October 2, 2025, followed by funeral services at 11am, at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri 64133. Burial to follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery.
