Jacqueline J. Smith

Jacqueline J. (Gist) Smith, 86, of Raytown, Missouri passed away August 2, 2016. A visitation will be held from 1-2pm Saturday August 13th, 2016 and with a memorial service to follow  at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, Missouri.

Jackie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on August 27, 1929 to Jim and Dorothy Gist and was raised in Wichita, Kansas. She graduated from East High School and later attended Wichita State. Jackie owned two auto parts stores along with her husband, Jim Smith. They owned Jim Smith Auto Supply in Raytown & Bannister Auto Parts in Kansas City. She enjoyed playing bridge and gardening.

Jackie is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Jim Smith and grandson, Luke Riddle.

Jackie is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Maureen Smith, son, Larry Smith, daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Rick Riddle, grandchildren; Clay Smith (Sarah), Richie Riddle, Jessica Sutton (David), and Taylor Riddle, and great granddaughters; Avery Sutton and Olivia Sutton.
