James Earl Cassidy died April 30, 2008 at his home following a short illness. Born, July 20, 1932 Springfield MA., Served in the United States Navy during Korean Conflict on the USS Mc Nair DD679 as a Boiler Technician/3. Employed by TWA for 42 years, where Jim began as a "runner" and later traveled worldwide as a Manager for Material Systems Operations. Actively involved is Special Olympics Kansas for 19 years, providing services to Heartland Winter Games. Participant at Hillcrest Covenant Church, enjoyed singing in the choir. Deep love for the game of golf, volunteered as a Marshall at St. Andrews Golf Course. Jim was greatly energized by people. He is survived by wife Carolyn, sons Jay, Sean and Scott, daughter Tracy Woodell and grandchildern, brother Carlton "Chuck" and sister Jean Gero. Preceded in death by parents Carlton D. and Helen Eaton Cassidy. Memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM May 7th, 2008 at Hillcrest Covenant Church 8801 Nall, Prairie Village, Kansas. Visitation following in fellowship hall. In Lieu of flowers family requests memorials be made to Special Olympics Kansas, 5280 Fox Ridge Dr. Mission, KS 66202. Test Text
