James D. Tustison

James D Tustison, 71, passed away at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. On April 18, 2017. He was born on August 31, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas. He served in the Navy for 5 years during the Vietnam War. He was an adamant Ham Radio Operator, devoted Dad and husband, and a Tom Clancy fan.

Jim leaves behind his wife of 27 years, Gayle, his three children, Elizabeth Herrington, of the home, Audra Williams of Wheatland, Mo. (husband B.J.), Paul Vaughn, wife Cara, of Milford, Kansas, seven grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and his brothers, Darryl Tustison, wife Linda, of Pleasant Valley, Mo., and Robert Tustison, wife Carolyn, of Jamesport Mo., Mike Tustison, and Rhonda Tustison sister in law, wife of Cecil Tustison.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Tustison and Ruby Oreta Fowler, brothers Cecil Tustison and Mark Tustison.

Jim loved his family, country, God, and he never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-Noon on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Heartland, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133. A military graveside will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at the Missouri State Cemetery in Higginsville, 20109 Business MO Highway 13, Higginsville, MO 64037.

    Gayle we,have been friends for many years,have shared many happy moments as well as,sad moments. However with the love of Jesus in our lives,we manage to get through it all. Gail and I love you and Jim so much. Our prayers are with you and your family as you work through these difficult times.
