James Edward Higgins, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016. Jim was born Sep 6, 1934, in Leavenworth, KS. He served in the U.S. Air Force. After getting married, he ran the family’s dairy farm in Leavenworth, KS. He also worked for Milgram grocery, National Cash Register (NCR), and the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
James was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Mary, and siblings Helen Crossman, Annie Higgins, Maurice Higgins, Otto Higgins, and Edward Higgins. He is survived by his sister, Florence Giebler, of Wakefield, RI, his son, Jim Higgins and wife Nancy of Kansas City, MO; his daughter, Ana Mast and her husband Paul of Kansas City, MO; his son, Daniel Higgins of Kansas City, Mo; and his daughter Lory Page and her husband JayDee of Edwards, MO. James also has 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing and drives in the country. He was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.
