James “Jim” Byron Hurley

James Byron Hurley, 69, died Thursday, September 6, 2018 at home. Born on May 9, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to parents James C. and Patricia R. Hurley. In 1969 Jim served in the US Army in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in 1971. Jim was a loving and devoted husband and father who loved cars, the outdoors, and mowing the lawn. He was preceded in death by his parents James C. & Patricia R. Hurley, maternal and paternal grandparents, brother-in-laws Rodney and Richard Tann, and sister-in-laws Carolyn Hall and Carol Tann. Survivors include is wife LaJuana Hurley of 48 years, daughter Tracy, brother Stephen (Paul) Hurley, brother-in-laws Tom Hall, Everett Tann, Jr., Kenneth (Annette) Tann, and Gregory Tann, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

    Jim was hired at G M about the same time i was we were pretty good friends i still think about some of the silly stuff we went thru together i am sorry for your loss
