James “Jim” West, 74, of Grove, OK passed away peacefully March 5, 2018.
Jim was born July 2nd, 1943 in Carthage, MO and graduated in 1961 from Carthage High. He worked at FAG Bearings and Leggett & Platt before retiring to Grand Lake in Grove, OK.
He was preceded in death by parents George D and Betty J West, daughter Julie Cartwright and life partner Susie Nichols.
Survivors include brother Bill and wife Jolene West of Gainesville, FL, sister Donna and husband Don Tinder, daughters Janice Brinker, Kathy and husband Todd Buerge, Jessica Wauson, son JD and wife Amy West, along with nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life is planned from 2 to 5 PM Saturday, March 24th at The Parrot in Grove, OK.
So sorry for your loss! I know he was loved very much by his children. Prayers for everyone.

Jeanie’s and my sincere condolences to you upon the passing of Jim. He is now without sickness and pain and for that we are all thankful. Rest assured we shall all see him again soon.
SORRY TO HEAR THAT JIM PASSED AWAY, A GOOD PERSON. I BOUGHT ONE OF MY FIRST CARS FROM JIM, THAT 1954 BROWN CHEVY SEDAN LOWERED, LOUD PIPES. HE WILL BE MISSED, HE LIVED NOT FAR FROM CAROL ANN ON FRANCIS STREET IN CARTHAGE GROWING UP.
