James R. “Jim” Schutte, 68, Raytown, Missouri passed away February 2, 2017 at home from a very rare auto-immune disorder. A visitation will be held 5:00 -6:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7th, 2017 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown, Missouri. Memorial services will follow at 6:00 PM. Burial, at a later date, in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Missouri. Jim was raised in Raytown, Missouri and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1966. He worked for Hans Rudolph, Inc., for more than 20 years. He was active in the community, volunteering many years with Troop 550 and the Mic-O-Say Dancers and volunteering many years with the Raytown Chamber of Commerce. He loved 60’s Rock and Country music, but hated Hank Williams, Jr. He loved reading his many books and spending hours and hours laughing and joking with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by; grandson, Orion; parents, Ralph and Lola; sister, Phyllis; his in-laws and his dogs, Bud and Minnie. Survivors include; wife of 45 years, Kathie; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris & Kellie, JJ & Ann, Andy & Byrdia; grandchildren, Logan, Lindsey, Connor, Luna, Cecilia, Killian and Callie; and his dogs, Jack and Tweedy.
