Janice Rue Stephens , 65, of Columbia passed January 10, 2016. Jan was born on May 28, 1950 in St. Louis, MO to Robert and Wilma (Waldron) Ellrich. A celebration of life will occur at a later date. Jan was passionate about her family, always putting them first. Jan worked in sales at Special T Medals for 32 years. Being the founder of the Mid-Missouri Special Olympics agency, she was an avid Special Olympics coach (National Games Coach), key volunteer, and fan. In 2008, she was the Special Olympics State Headquarters Volunteer of the Year. She is survived by her beloved family; husband, Robert; daughter, Terri; son, Larry; sister, Bobbie (Al) Orr; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
