Jeffery Lloyd Langdon, 56, Lewisburg, KS passed away July 15, 2010 at home. He was the son of Lucia Ella (Barker) Langdon and the late Donald Eugene Langdon. He was born in Kansas City, KS. Jeff graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and North Texas State University. Jeff spent his career in the lumber industry.
Jeff is survived by his beloved wife of 32 and a half years, Monica Jean (Can Booven) Langdon, whom he married on January 14, 1978 in Union, MO.
Other survivors include his daughter, Cheri Hinz and fiance’ Jeff Hoover of Tuscon, AZ; son and daughter-in-law, Ralph an Toni Wallmeier of Fortville, IN; daughter and son-in-law, Erika and Luke Schwarzenberger of Shawnee, KS; and daughter Bobbie Langdon and fiance’ Mark Mott of Shawnee, KS.
Jeff leaves behind fourteen grandchildren whom he adored and loved very much. They were so blessed to call him "Papa". Papa’s grandchildren are Dorian, Zaak, Ouzal and Jacob Hinz; Jake and Jett Wallmeier; Logan John; Jaeden Beshoner; Andrew, Austin, and Zack Schwarzenberger, Jun Langdon, Lucy Soumpholphakdy; and Mitch Mott.
His siblings and their spouses who have been so supportive during Jeff’s battle with cancer also survive. They are Murray and Cindy Langdon, Donna and Gary Russell, Carol and Greg Marquart, Sam and Gina Langdon, and Janice and Larry Westhoff. Jeff’s 12 nieces and nephews also survive him.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at James P. David Hall at the Wyandotte County Lake in Kansas City, KS. The family requests no flowers be sent. Donations in Jeff’s name may be sent to Crossroads Hospice, Miami Co. Cancer Foundation and/or KU Medical Center.
