Jennifer M. Wilcoxson, 39, Odessa, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. Visitation begins at 10:00 am. on Saturday, April 19, 2008 and the Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11:00 am at Countryside Church, 14150 W. 175th Street, Olathe, KS. Graveside service and internment will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery on 159th Street.
Jennifer was born on June 4, 1968 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Kansas City, Ks. She grew up in Shawnee and Olathe and graduated from high school at Maranatha Academy in 1986. Jennifer earned an associates degree in nursing and worked for various doctors thereafter. Jennifer has had the opportunity to help and serve many people which was one of her passions. Jennifer and Joe got married on June 25, 2005. Jennifer loved all kids especially her step son, Austyn, and her nephew and niece, Jaden and Triniti, and spent numerous hours playing with, and ‘spoiling’ them. Jennifer enjoyed helping Joe BBQ, watching him race, spending time with their friends, and Fishing/boating. She will be sadly missed by her husband, family, and friends, what a tremendous loss to all of us who love her.
She was preceded in death by Grandpa Elroy Balk.
She leaves her husband, Joe and stepson Austyn ( Odessa, Mo. ); ; parents Larry & Sharon Balk ( Olathe, Ks. ); sisters Amy Buckman ( Columbus, Ohio ) , Rebecca Bracey ( Husband-Junior, Jaden and Triniti – Gardner, Ks. ) ; Grandma Violet Balk (Winona, Mn. ), Grandpa and Grandma Rod and Carol Morey ( Ashton, Il. ) Father and Mother in Law Neil and Mary Anna Wilcoxson ( Kansas City North, Mo. ).
