Jetta Ann Roberdes

Jetta Ann Roberdes (McKelvey), 73, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on March 19, 2024. She was born on July 31, 1950, in Marlow, OK. Jetta was a Registered Nurse and a lifelong caregiver who adored her profession. She had a passion for nursing and took great joy in caring for others.

Jetta was a devoted fan of NASCAR and the Kansas City Chiefs. She cherished her time spent with her granddaughters, finding immense joy in their company.  She also loved her cats and supporting animal shelters.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Smith; granddaughters, Kaitlyn Smith and Aurora Moon Burlingame; sister, Kimber Lynn McKelvey, and her family; stepdaughter, Melanie Louise-Roberdes Stroda, and her family.

Jetta was preceded in death by her husband, Barry Roberdes; stepdaughters, Gretchen Roberdes, Nichole Phebe Roberdes, and their families; mother, Katie Kennedy Dryer; father, James McKelvey.

A small ceremony will be held at Leavenworth National Cemetery, 150 Muncie Rd, Leavenworth, KS 66048, on March 27, 2024, at 12:30 PM. Guests are kindly requested to arrive before 12:20 PM for the 20-minute service.

Heartland Cremation & Burial Society in Raytown, MO, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

    I am so sorry for your loss. I realize that I have not seen Jetta for several years, but she was always a wonderful person to me. I feel fortunate that I had the opportunity to know her. My thoughts are with you and your kids.
