Jimmy Dale Basinger (JIMBOB), 55 of Columbia, passed away on June 21, 2014. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at Cooper’s Landing in Hartsburg, MO. Jim was born on November 24, 1958 in Columbia. He was Lead Custodian at Bond Life Center on the MU campus. He also worked for MFA in Columbia. He like to hunt, fish and look for mushrooms. Jim loved to drive thru the River bottoms. Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charles Basinger of Ashland, and a nephew, the son of Julie Smallwood. Survivors include his wife Glenda Basinger: sister, Julie (Stanley) Smallwood, and nephews, Justin and Kabel Nichols of Hartsburg. Online condolences may be left at heartlandcremation.com

My deepest condolence to the family. Jim was so full of life and so pleasant and open in his conversations and manner. He was always ready with a smile. I still can’t believe he is gone. Jim it was good to have known you. Your presence at the LSC will be missed. Rest In Peace.
To the family of Jim; It sadden me to hear of Jim. I was Jim’s supervisor at Campus Facilities/MU a few years back. He was a great employee and I could alway depend on Jim to get the job done. Jim was alway willing to help out and pleasant to be around. He will be greatly miss. My thoughts & prayers are with you all. GOD BLESS!
