Jo Anne Kerr, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on May 10, 2026, after a long and courageous battle with dementia.
Jo Anne was born on June 3, 1944, in Odessa, Missouri, to Charles and Eleanor Butler. She balanced work with creating a loving home and devoting herself to her family.
She had a deep love for animals, especially dogs, and generously supported local dog rescue groups and adoption shelters throughout her life. She also found great joy in crafting and collectibles, hobbies that brought creativity and warmth into her home.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Kerr, and her parents, Charles and Eleanor Butler.
Jo Anne is survived by her children: Jason Kerr, Scott Kerr, and Christine Mazza, as well as four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her family will remember her supportive nature and kind heart.
