Joe Campbell Brandon, 81, passed Thursday, Oct 5, 2006. He was born on Jan. 11, 1925 in Fort Smith, AR. WW II – US Navy veteran. Joe graduated in 1953 from the Univ. of Arkansas with an Agricltrl. Eng degree. Joe was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ-South Crysler Restoration Branch. He was also a long time chaplain at the Indep. Rgnl. Hlth. Ctr. assisting patients with alcohol abuse problems. Brandon Engineering Company tool & die machine shop operated in Indep. for 34 years. Joe is preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Ruth McNutt Brandon, infant daughter Sally Jo Brandon, olderbrother Hiram F. Brandon Jr., Searcy, AR. Survived by his children and two daughters and son-in-laws, Sharon and Dennis Hirning and Jennifer and David Wood, grandchildren, Rachel Wood, Abby and Adam Hirning; Brandon, Ethan, Grace and Noah Wood; one sister-in-law, Alice Gibson Brandon, Sercy, AR. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Tuesday, Oct 10th at the South Crysler Restoration Branch, 16101 E. Salisbury Road, Indep, MO. Memorials may be made to the Center Place Restoration School in In Independence.
