Joel Truesdale

Joel " Joe" w. Truesdale, 64, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, November 26 at Liberty Hospital. 

Joe was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 12, 1944.  His family moved to Peace Valley, Missouri, where he attended grade school.  Joe graduated from West Plain High School in 1962.  Joe is survived by his two daughters, Sherri "Robin" of Liberty (and husband Garry), and Michelle "Micki" Smith of Seattle (and husband Christopher); older brother Rev. Dr. Phil Truesdale, and younder sister Karen (Finch) Truesdale; two granddaughters, Shannon and Marissa; six nieces and nephews, and 12 great-nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by his father LeRoy Truesdale, mother Alice W. Truesdale Herwald, step-father Albert Herwald, maternal grandmother Rose E. Willis and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Joe worked at several truck lines in the Kansas City area including Allis Chalmers, Graves, ABF and CF.  he was an avid woodworker and loved to build anything from decks to furniture to old model cars.   Joe chose to be cremated and his eyes were donated to help others see the world.  We hope others will see through the caring and loving eyes Joe always saw through.  A celebration of his life will be held at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church of Liberty, on December 13th at 11:00 am, 3rd floor.

In lieu of flowers we are asking that donations be sent to the Palliative Care Group of Liberty Hospital, 2525 Glenn Hendren Dr., Liberty, Missouri, 64068, or brought to the Memorial Service.  the family will ensure the donations are taken to the Hospital.

Joe will be immensley missed by his family and friends.  He has touched the lives of so many.
