Johanna Louise Maxwell, 73, Lee’s Summit, MO, formerly of Raytown, MO, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2005, at the home surrounded by her loving family. Cremation. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Monday, June 20 at St. Matthew’s Church, 9349 E. 65th St., Raytown, MO. Johanna was born February 14, 1932, in Manhattan, NY, the daughter of John and Mildred Hoen. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Church Altar Guild and worked for Truman Medical Center-Lakewood for 361/2 years before retiring in March 2005 due to her illness. She was preceded in death by her parents. Johanna is survived by her three children, son David Maxwell, Palm Coast, FL, and daughters Laura Bullock, Lee’s Summit, MO, and Donna Wilson, Independence, MO; brother John Hoen, Maryland; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren; three nieces; and two nephews. She was a special Mom and Grandma who loved so dearly and her love was returned by family and friends. As one doctor said, “She is truly one elegant lady.” We will miss you!
