John Edward Byrd III, 58, Paola, died Friday, August 8, 2008, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a cook at Whistle Stop Café in Osawatomie. He is survived by his sister, Frances Anderson of Paola. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Friendship Faith Ministries, 602 W. Shawnee St., Paola.
