John Greig

John C. Greig, 91, passed away Dec. 8, 2007, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty, Mo. He was born Sept. 18, 1916, in Winnipeg, Canada. John served as a captain in the U.S. Army Signal Training Group during WWII. During this time he met and married Mildred Williams. Following the war he worked for, and retired from Continental Insurance Co. after more than 30 years. At retirement, John and Mildred moved from Kansas City to Bella Vista Ark. There he was involved in volunteer work through his church, with Benton County’s Women’s Shelter, and also with Benton County Sheriffs Department. John was preceded in death by his wife Mildred on Feb. 26, 1995. He is survived by his son Andrew and wife Mary Greig of Pleasant Valley, Mo.; daughters, Patti and husband Dennis Lottermoser of Surprise, Ariz., and Jana and husband Jamie Parks of Charlotte, NC; grandchildren surviving him are Troy Greig, Kevin Parks and Beth Burgess. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Benton County Women’s Shelter, Benton County, Ark.
