John was a big fixture of our lives. We sure had some fun and interesting times together. I’m glad I was able to visit with him more this past year .

This page really makes me sad…John was so much more than the 2-line obit printed above. Krek was a character, and a craftsman, and a help to his many aviation friends. He helped me numerous times and just outright gave me rare and valuable things simply because he knew I could use them…and he was happy to do it. He could be an ornery old cuss, but I’m sure going to miss him.

My grandpa raised me. He was survived by so many more people that cared about him. Including me. I had no dad. My mother wasn’t around. I spent everyday of my childhood with him. Thank you for taking me to chase clouds. I’ll never forget how magical it was being able to fly. I’ll miss you every day. I’ll never forget you or any of your friends that helped mold me into the person I am now.

John did so many jobs and favors for me that I can’t begin to count. I will miss you FRIEND. Jon
