John Lundgren

John L. Lundgren, 91 of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away March 8, 2009, at St. Luke’s East hospital in Lee’s Summit, MO.  Cremation.  The family suggests contributions to the American Lung Association or the American Cancer Society.
 
Mr. Lundgren was born February 12, 1918 in Bemidji, MN.  He was married to Maizie Smith Lundgren of Burlingame, KS for 58 years. John worked for Gambles Skogmo, Inc. for 36 years as an auditor. He also worked at Lan- Mar in Kansas City MO and as a caretaker with Maizie at Camp Tawasee Camp Fire Camp in Edwardsville, KS.
 
Mr. Lundgren was a Staff Sargent serving with the Army Signal Corp during World War II. He was the recipient of the Bronze Star medal, the Croix de Guerre medal of France and a Meritorious Unit Award. 
   
John was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Maizie Lundgren, his sister Dorothy Lundgren and his parents.  He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Lundgren and son-in-law Frederick Dischman of Kansas City, MO, son John Spencer of Tulsa, OK, nephews, Dix Smith of Burlingame, KS, John Westlund of Columbia, MO, Richard Wilson of Huntington WV, nieces, Dixie Roden of Tulsa, OK and Anne Kirk of Bend, OR.
