John Ozell Barrett was born February 13, 1923 in Mexico, MO to Edgar Lee and Jannie (Bass) Barrett. He departed this life on July 31, 2005 at Veteran’s Administration Medical Center, Kansas City, MO. John was with the Cemical War Fare Department in WWII. He leaves three daughter, Wanda (Barrett) Fisher and husband, Harold, Mexico, MO, Deborah (Barrett) Spearmon and husband, Melvin, Fort Smith, AR and Gina (Barrett) Adkinson and husband, Gerry, Stillwater, OK; two sons, Ozell Barrett and wife, Carla and Homer Barrett all of OK; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Seattles, KCMO and one nephew, William Barrett, San Diego, CA. John was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
