John T. Morrisey Jr.

John passed away April 7 th 2021 at his home in Desoto KS. He was born Sept. 6, 1955 in Prairie Village Kansas. The son of John T. Morrisey Sr. and Jean DeCoursey Morrisey.

He was a life long resident of Kansas City and attended St. Agnes grade school, Wentworth Military Academy and was a graduate of Shawnee Mission North High School in 1974.

He was involved in the automotive industry. Started out as a mechanic and then worked his way up to a machinist, a successful sales representative for Kwik-way, and then Petersen Equipment Company. After that, he started his own business, JIF Products Inc.

Johnny always liked to have fun and was into cars, boats and motorcycles. He enjoyed his place at the Lake of the Ozarks and was very proud of his boat. He also enjoyed travel around the continental United States as well as Europe, Hawaii, and Australia. Johnny had a great sense of humor and always enjoyed hearing and telling a good story. He will be loved and missed by many.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his niece Jacqueline Marie Morrisey. He is survived by his siblings Mary Kate Morrisey, Alice Morrisey, Patty Morrisey Vedros (Nick), Joe Morrisey(Eileen) and Tom Morrisey. As well as his nieces, nephew, cousins and many friends.

    My sympathy to all the Morrisey family. It was always fun going to Morrisey’ s home and having all. Mary Kate’ s siblings around. John always seemed to be working on something in the garage.
