Jose Dario Núñez

Jose Dario Núñez, 80, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2026.

Jose was born on August 15, 1945, in Moca, Dominican Republic. Throughout his life, he was known for his adventurous spirit, joyful personality, and endless curiosity. He was always dreaming up new ideas and rarely finished one project before he had another one waiting to begin. His enthusiasm for life and his willingness to take on new challenges brought energy and laughter to those around him.

Jose worked as a janitor, a profession through which he demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication. Outside of work, he found great joy in plants and gardening. Whether tending to flowers, nurturing vegetables, or simply spending time outdoors, he had a deep appreciation for nature and took pride in helping things grow.

He is survived by his daughters, Maria Rasheed and Elizabeth Wise, and his sons, Alberto Núñez and Rubén Núñez.

Jose will be remembered for his kind heart, adventurous nature, creativity, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will continue to live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

A graveside service will be held at Belton Cemetery in Belton, Missouri, on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 10:30 a.m.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in the memories he created, the lessons he shared, and the lasting impact he made on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
