Josephine Emily Heins Beams, formerly of Carrollton, died September 8, 2007 at White Ridge Care Center in Lee’s Summit. She was born March 20, 1917 in Carrollton. She was the daughter of Eldon and Mary Elizabeth Heins who preceded her in death. Josephine was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dale, as well as two sisters, Bertha Wiechert and Joyce Thomas. Josephine is survived by her daughter, Joanne Leech of Lee’s Summit and three grandchildren, Jill Leech of Lee’s Summit, Jennifer and her husband, Chad Shaw of Oak Grove and Jeffery Leech of Scottsdale, AZ. A graveside service is planned for September 28, 1 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Carrollton. Memorials may be given to the First Christian Church in Carrollton or Lee’s Summit Christian Church.
