Josephine (Jo) McGahan

Josephine (Jo) McGahan, born June 16, 1934, was welcomed home to God’s kingdom on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 in her home.  She was born in Rome, New York in a small Italian neighborhood to Leonardo Romaniello and Carmela (Laguardia) Romaniello.  Jo had three sisters: Marie (Mame), Grace, and Carmiline (Carm).  She had four children: Robert (Bobby) McGahan, Leslie McGahan, Kathy McGahan and Craig McGahan.  Jo worked for several years as a grocery clerk; first for Thriftway in Belton, Missouri and retiring from Payless Grocers in Kansas City.  Jo was a long time member of St. Mathews Catholic Church and enjoyed giving her time to Little Sisters of the Poor and delivering Meals on Wheels.  She is survived by her sister, Carmiline Squires of Texas, her daughter, Leslie McGahan of California, and her son, Craig McGahan of Kansas City.  She was preceded in her Ascension to heaven by her mother and father, sisters, Marie and Grace, son Robert (Bobby) and daughter, Kathy.  Josephine (Jo) McGahan was loved and will be missed by so many.
