Joy Loesch 1955-2020
Joyce (Joy) Dorothy Loesch, 65, passed away Wednesday November 11, 2020 at St Luke’s hospital on the Plaza in Kansas City with her husband and son by her side. She will be cremated, and a virtual funeral service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery & Mausoleum in , 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125, and as well as a small in-person service for immediate family due to gathering restrictions in the pandemic. Exact details to come later.
Joy was born in St Louis, Missouri to John W. and Mildred A. Reisner with her brother John C. Reisner, and sister Janet E. (Reisner) Penning.
Joy met her husband, Edward Loesch, in Warrensburg, Missouri and they were married in 1975. They have lived in Kansas City since 1976.
Joy received her degree in accounting from UMKC, and spent many years working at UMKC as well as charitable organizations, and a contractor to the federal government.
She loved creating artistic works with her skills in quilting and fabrics as well as camping with family and friends, fishing, hiking, gardening, and gathering with family. She was a patient teacher, loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother, honest and passionate life explorer, and loved God.
Joy was preceded in death by her brother John. Joy is survived by her son Michael and his wife Kristi, her grandson Miles, and her husband Edward.
