Juan Antonio Herrera
June 20, 1950 – June 28, 2025

Juan Antonio Herrera, affectionately known as Don Juan, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the age of 75 surrounded by family. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Izalco, El Salvador.

Juan was a hard-working, generous, and spirited man who built a life defined by resilience, humor, and heart. He spent many years as a skilled car mechanic, later becoming the proud owner of a janitorial business. Known for his strong hands and even stronger work ethic, he dedicated his life to helping others along the way.

He had a passion for life’s simple pleasures—food, airplanes, horses, classic cars, lively music, and action-packed movies. But perhaps more than anything, Juan loved people. Whether you were family, a friend, or a complete stranger, he welcomed you with a smile and often, a well-timed joke or playful tease. He was a true mischief-maker, always ready to laugh, instigate, or make light of life’s challenges with his unmistakable charm.

Juan had a gift for making others feel seen, supported, and loved. He never met a stranger he couldn’t turn into a friend. His legacy is one of compassion, humor, and quiet strength.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, siblings and many other relatives and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A mass will be held at 2pm on Friday July 18, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist, 2910 Strong Ave Kansas City, KS 66106.
