Judith Hollingsworth

Judith Hollingsworth, 70, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away March 18, 2018 at Kansas City Hospice House. Memorial services will be held at 11:00AM, Friday, March 23, 2018 at Lakeland Community Church, Lee’s Summit, Missouri. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00PM, March 22, 2018 at Lakeland Community Church. Ms. Hollingsworth was born January 4, 1948 in Sweet Springs, Missouri.

Judy was a 1966 graduate from Warrensburg High School. Judy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren at Pomme de Terre lake, whether it was water skiing, tubing, or just sitting around the campfire late into the night. She loved watching her grandchildren in basketball, volleyball, track, and football games. Judy’s strong Christian faith saw her through these recent months of illness and though we grieve at Judy’s passing, we rejoice in the knowledge that she is alive and well forever in the presence of her Savior, Jesus Christ and we know that as fellow believers we will be reunited with her one day.

Judy was the daughter of the late Siegle Chester Hollingsworth and Thelma Beatrice Worthington Hollingsworth of Warrensburg, Missouri. She was also preceded in death by her brother Jack D. Hollingsworth of Gravois Mills, Missouri.

She is survived by son Paul J. Tyler and wife Julie Simmons Tyler, daughter Leslie Tyler Prestia and husband Lenny Prestia all of Grain Valley, Missouri, four grandchildren; Mason and Megan Prestia and Jackson and Seena Tyler, sister-in-law Beverly Hollingsworth of Gravois Mills, Missouri and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Lakeland Community Church.

Judy was a firecracker. As a youngster she could give the boys a run for their money, swimming, diving, etc. Cousin John told me she water skied at 69.
