Julian Spencer Douthat, 83, Kansas City, MO passed away April 5, 2007. Military graveside services will be held, 11 AM, Friday, April 13, 2007 at Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS. Julian was born to David L. & Hannah (Spencer) Douthat on January 15, 1924 in Kansas City, KS. He was a World War II Veteran who served in the Army Air Corps, Army and later the Navy. He received a Bronze Star for his service in the Battle of the Bulge. Julian was a graduate of Kansas City University and studied graduate work at New York University. He retired from University of Missouri Kansas City where he served as Asst. Vice Director of Admissions. Following his retirement, Julian worked as a “Hat Man” for Jack Henry Clothiers. Julian is survived by: wife of 22 years, Emilia “Amy” Douthat; sister & brother in law Betty & Kenneth Eheret; and a neice & nephew.
