Karen Denise Mordica, age 65, passed away on January 12, 2019 in Moberly, Missouri.
Services will be held at Woodlandville United Methodist Church, 9801 Wilhite Road, in Rocheport on Saturday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Karen Alden officiating. A luncheon will follow the service.
Karen was born August 3, 1953 in Columbia, Missouri to Francis Beckman Mordica and Wilma Sue (Henry) Mordica, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by a niece, Melissa Morris.
Karen worked for Golde’s Department Store for ten years doing alterations. She was an excellent seamstress. She also worked for 22 years at 3M Company in Columbia.
Survivors include sisters Sharon (Carlos) Morris of DeSoto, MO; Patty (Steve) Gamblin of Newcastle, OK; Lisa (Larry) Sheets of Harrisburg; as well as one brother, Kevin Mordica of Harrisburg. Karen is also survived by four nephews and 3 nieces.

I am really sorry that Karen Denise Mordica’s death. I knew her as a classmate from 1964 to 1969. But then, I did not know her that well even when she sat behind me in the 6th grade. The students were alphabetize by our instructor. She seamed quite and shy and I did not like girls. I will try to recall memories of Karen Mordica. and wish circumstances were different.
