Karen Swearingen Kious was born in Belton Mo. on April 25th 1951 and passed away on May 18th 2021.
She was 70 years old. She is survived by her husband, Grant Kious of Raytown. Karen is also survived by two children Tom Keeney and Carolyn (Dan) Aeschliman along with several grandchildren Arron, Jacob, Sarah, Tristin, Brandon and Kaitlyn. Stepchildren include Chris (Jen) Kious of Rhode Island, Robbie (Michelle) Kious of Tucson Az. and Tiffany (Josh) Dempsey of Independence Mo. and granddaughter Skyler McHardie of Independence Mo.
Karen worked in banking and at American Ingredients during her career. She had many hobbies and enjoyed cooking and hosting the holidays with friends and family. Karen enjoyed traveling with her husband as often as they could.
Karen will be missed by her husband of 29 years along with friends and family. No memorial services are planned at this time.
