I smile when I think of Karen. She was always so nice to talk to. I will fondly remember Karen not only as Mitch’s mom, but as the lady who made the best snickerdoodle cookies ever!! She was a wonderful lady and will be dearly missed. My heart and tears go out to her entire family.
So sad to hear of Karen’s death. She was a dear, sweet lady. Our prayers and thoughts are with Mitch and Jill and their families.

My heart aches for the loss of Karen. It truly is a great loss for all of us. I will remember her warm personality and cookies forever.
Jill, I am so sorry to hear about your mom–she was a class act, and I loved spending time with both of you in the early days when I’d come to KC. I’m terribly sorry I will be out of the country until Sunday; I wish I could be there for the visitation and funeral. Thinking of you and your family, and please let me know if there is anything I can do.

David and I want you and your family to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We had only met Karen a few times but could see that she was a kind and wonderful person. May God bless all of you.
Dear Jill, Mitch and families, What a shock to learn of your mom’s unexpected passing. I’m her cousin who lives in Germany. Karen was one of the kindest people on the planet and I’m sure many people will cherish their memories of her. I was thrilled to be the flower girl at her wedding many years ago and am very thankful that I was able to visit with her in KC this past summer. You are in our thoughts. Donna and family
Donna, Jerry & family, Sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and care are sent your way. May your fondest memories and your faith carry you at this time.
Karen was a good friend of mine for 40 plus years, and I am saddened to lose someone who was always there for others, was very kind, and never had a bad thing to say about anyone. I will miss her very much. Rest in peace, Karen. Love,
Marcia
We are so sorry. We thought so much of Karen.
Karen was one of the best and loyal friends I ever had.My daughter lisa sent many happy hours at her house playing with Jill. When I broke my leg, she came over every day and brought me lunch. She was a caring person whom you could count on in time of need.
Joel and I are both so sorry to hear of Karen’s passing. She was a special lady, always with a sweet smile and happy attitude. Our sympathies go out to Mitch and Jill and their families. She will be missed.
Mitch and Jill: Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Karen was a special lady – good friend and fun fun fun bridge partner. We’ll all miss her.
I am so sorry to hear of Karens passing. Unfortunately I did not know her very well. Karen is cousin to my mother, Diane Heidbreder-Scheidegger. I heard of her passing from Kay and I feel her pain. Your whole family will be in my prayers.
The cliche’ “BFF” best friends forever is what I am feeling. Karen was my true friend through our highs and our lows. I could count on her to be there in every way. I will miss her kindness, her smiles, her laughs, her truthfulness, and her lightheartedness. You never want to lose a friend like Karen. Betty

Our hearts go out to Karen’s loved ones and friends in the untimely death of one so dear to us all. Karen leaves a vacancy in our hearts that can never be filled. We are sorry that we are far away at this most difficult time.
