Katherine Rothacher-Stieffermann

Katherine Stieffermann, 92, Raytown, MO passed away surrounded by family, April 22, 2015 at her home.  A visitation will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 from 10-11 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 8812 E. Gregory Blvd., Raytown, MO 64133.
Katherine was born October 24, 1922 in Kansas City, MO, to Jacob and Mary (Amsler) Rothacher.
Katherine was preceded in death by her loving husband William, her parents and a grandson, Shannon Michael.  She leaves behind three daughters; Patricia Stieffermann, Mary ‘Sue’ Miller, Helen Stieffermann, 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a large extended family.

Katherine met her late husband William ‘Billy’ at Sweetheart Bakery in Kansas City MO, and were married on Valentines Day 1942. She lived in the house they designed and built themselves in Raytown. They were married 47 years at the time of his passing. Katherine loved flowers, working in her garden, her pets, watching cooking shows and she was proud of her Swiss Heritage.

    Sorry to hear of your loss. She was a great example for her family and friends. God bless her family, who were at her side for the journey to the end of her time on earth. Her walk with the Lord is far greater than any walk on this earth. Much love to all of you. Patty and Bill Cooper

    So sorry, Pat, Sue and Helen.
    Had I known of Aunt Catherine’s passing, I would have been in attendance of her remembrances’.

    Mom was the 1st spoke in the wheel missing. Your mom is the last spoke. Amen. Remember we had a lot of good times! Seems like the best times were when none of us had much more of anything except hope!
