Kathie Brisciano

Kathie Brisciano, Independence, Missouri, passed away on March 8, 2019. A visitation will be held, Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 6:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society with a visitation before the service at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place at 1:00 P.M. at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, Missouri following the funeral service.

Kathie was born August 2, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri.  She graduated from Raytown High School and attended nursing school were she became a Licensed Nurse Practitioner.  Kathie worked for John Knox Village, Truman Medical Center and Wilshire at Lakewood throughout her career.  After she was married, they became members of Sterling Acres Baptist Church were she will be remembered her time volunteering in the nursery and for her time spent decorating the church for the many events and holidays.

Her family and friends will remember Kathie for her joy of making flowers for the family weddings and funerals; cooking and decorating cookies and cakes and her crafts that included homemade Cabbage Patch Dolls.  She loved people and was always up for an occasion to visit.  Kathie loved to travel with her husband and family.

She is preceded in death by; parents, Floyd & Francis Shelders.  Survivors include; husband, Phillip Brisciano II; sons Phillip Brisciano III, Anthony Brisciano and Chris Brisciano; sisters, Sharon Norris, Judy Crayton and Mary Chester; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

    Kathie was such a sweet friend! She would always be happy to see you, and would do anything to help you! She had such a loving, giving spirit! I miss her so much already! I can’t wait to see her again in Heaven;)! Love You Bunches, Kathie
