Kathy Susan Porter, age 74, passed away on July 12, 2026. She was born on October 31, 1951 in Sedalia, MO to Paul and Betty Wilson.
Kathy was a Homemaker, a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Great Grandmother.
She married Frank Porter on January 20, 1969.
Kathy enjoyed crafting, drawing, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
Kathy is survived by her husband Frank Porter. Sons, Frank (Nancy), Jason (Missy), and Mark (Andrea). Grandchildren, Miranda Porter, Jacob Porter, Brianna (Kyle) Day, Austin Porter, Abigail (Nick) Gallegos, Nicholas (Dayely) Porter, Logan Porter, Maliea Porter, and Emma Porter. Great-Grandchildren, Nova Phillips, Austin Porter, Antonio Porter, and Evangeline Gallegos. Brothers, Paul (Debbie) Wilson, and Danny (Becky) Wilson. Sister, Shirley (Cloyd) Baker, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceded in death by her father Paul Wilson, mother Betty Shropshire, and brother Joey Wilson.
A visitation and funeral service for Kathy will be on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, Raytown, MO. Visitation begins at 6pm with a funeral service at 7pm.
So sorry for your loss. Kathy was such a sweet loving lady, who I enjoyed conversing with on Facebook. I saw her occasionally out at an estate sale, and we always enjoyed talking together. Heaven has gained an angel. Prayers for you all.
I cannot find the words to express how I feel. As a Christian I am happy for her finishing her earthly race, but as a human I have a sense of mourning and loss. We rest in God’s comfort and grace in this time, and the promise that we will reunite in heaven. God bless you all!
I loved you in life and love you in death. Tell we meet again fly high angel. Frank and family it brakes my heart so I know how you all hurt. I’m so sorry for all of you. My thoughts and prayer’s are with each of you. May God bless and strengthen you for day’s to come. Love and peace be with all!
