KENNETH K. KATEKARU, SR.
Kenneth K. Katekaru, Sr., 78, of Lee’s Summit, MO passed away June 22, 2010. Kenneth suffered a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Toni, of 55 years. He had three children, Beverly Jenkins of Inedpendence, Kenny Katekaru, Jr. and his wife Barb of Raytown, and Paul Katekaru of Lee’s Summit. He was additionally survived by five grandchildren, Delanie Bowen, James Jenkins, Kimberlee Katekaru, Kevin Katekaru, and Kristen Katekaru; his brothers, George and James; and sisters Gloria, Karen, Alice and Elaine. Kenneth was also blessed with five great grandchildren. Kenneth was a Korean war veteran. He was born in Kawai, HI. He was a long-time resident of the Kansas City metro area. Kenneth was a member of the Local 2 Sheet Metal Union. Both he and his wife were active members of Church On The Rock Outreach Center
I worked with Kenny a long time ago in the Sheetmetal trade. We went to 4 years at apprentice school also. He left quite an impression on me.
I never forgot him. Allthough we had lost touch in latter years.
