Kenneth Merlin Elder, 65, Overland Park, Kan., passed away January 4, 2010. A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, at Covenant Chapel, 13300 Kenneth Rd, Leawood, Kan. Mr. Elder was born Feb. 25, 1944, in Blue Rapids, Kan. He worked in the finance industry for 40 years. Survivors include his mother, Francis; wife, Janis; children, Stephen, Gretchen, Nick, Katie; and five grandchildren. Arr.: Heartland Cremation and Burial Society (800) 254-7679.
