Kennith Frederick Schillo, 61, Independence, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly on May 22nd, 2022. Kennith(Ken) was born on January 23rd, 1961 to Rozmarie and Edwin Schillo.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, aunts and former brother-in-law. Ken is survived by his mother, life-partner of over 28 years Richard (Rick) Williams, Ken’s sister and brother-in-law, three nephews and a niece, numerous aunts and uncles, great nephews and a great niece.

Ken eventually settled in Missouri, where he met and was spiritually united in love, respect and trust with Rick on November 21st, 1993.  Ken genuinely relished expanding his breadth of knowledge in innumerable subject areas, music, travel, home projects and Ken and Rick’s many cats and dogs over the years.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that should anyone care to donate in Ken’s memory to do so to any worthy animal rescue society or food bank.

Celebration of Ken’s life will be held on June 4th at Heartland Cremation and Burial Society, 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd, Raytown Missouri 64133. Fellowship will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by an informal service from 11:00 to noon. To view the Celebration of Life, click on LIVE STREAM.

    Rick,

    My heart aches for you. Ken was such a kind and genuine soul. It was always clear how much he loved you and you him. Thank you for sharing Ken with the extended family these past 30 years. Rozmarie, you raised an amazing son. He will be deeply missed by those of us fortunate enough to have known him.

    Rick and Rozmarie and family
    I have fond memories of times that I got to spend with Ken-mostly when he and Rick traveled to Colorado to come enjoy our scenery and friendship and get a little Rocky Mountain high altitude air! I did visit them by car one year at their home in Kansas City and we had some fun adventures. Ken and I repaired a lawn mower than was needing help, His warm smile and quick wit is what I will remember the most,,,,,,
