Kevin James O’Dell, 60, passed away on November 24, 2024. He was born to Joy Mullis (Charlie) and Buddy O’Dell in Independence, Missouri. He resided in Oak Grove, Missouri with his family the last 20 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Angie; his sons, Matthew and Chaz (Tiffany), along with his grandsons, Charlie and Brayden; and his daughter, Morgan. He is also survived by his siblings, Sharon (Tom), Kim, and Danny, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Kevin was a proud member of the Carpenter’s Union for over 25 years. He loved spending time outdoors, especially fishing, and was well-known for his sense of humor and the joy he brought to others by sharing his homemade beef jerky. Kevin’s warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Kevin’s life will be held on December 2, 2024, at Heartland Cremation & Burial Society, located at 6113 Blue Ridge Blvd., Raytown, Missouri 64133. Visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Angie, so sorry for your loss. The jerky was fine-cut, perfectly spiced, and some of the best I’ve ever had. I never got to thank him. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Me and my family lived across the street from Kevin for 12 years
Every summer he would give my kids candy ,popsicles and our all time favorite his jerky 🥺 our neighborhood will never forget him. He was like the neighborhood grandpa
