Forever Loved, Never Forgotten
Kevin was born on August 1, 1968, at the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri, to Twyila Moreland and the late Roger A. Moreland.
Kevin was a beloved husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. His life was filled with the love of family, the memories he created, and the lives he touched along the way. Though his time here on earth has come to an end, the love he shared and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
Kevin leaves behind his loving wife, Sheire Moreland; his mother, Twyila Moreland; his brothers, Walter Allen and John Edward; his daughters, Taylor Paige and Hannah Cordray; his son, Wyatt Roger James Moreland; his stepson, Lane Kendall; and his stepdaughter, Morgan Strope.
He also leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Jamie, Ja’Naeyah, Ka’leeauna, and Su’renity, who will carry his memory forward for generations to come.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Roger A. Moreland, who passed away on October 19, 2009, and his sister, Johnna LeAnn, who passed away on July 8, 1965.
While saying goodbye is never easy, Kevin’s family will hold tightly to the memories, laughter, and moments they were blessed to share with him. His presence will be deeply missed, but the love he gave will never fade.
Kevin Aka “Nummy or Kam” loved spending time with his friends and family, He loved taking his car known as the “Mighty Mouse” on joy rides and doing projects for his wife Sheire. He often referred to Mighty Mouse as “His Mistress.” He was a very hands-on man and made a lot of his own crafts. In Kevin’s younger years he served in the army for 7 years. He also was in the rodeo life riding bulls and broncs until he got injured and stopped. Kevin met Sheire July 27th of 2024 and got married January 18th of 2025. Sheire got him back into riding horses, which he swore he would never do. He always stated that Sheire took care of the horses and he took care of the horse-power. He really loved watching everyone out riding while he was swinging on the porch swing or sitting in a chair at camp. Everyone commented on how happy he was the last couple years and how he would just light up when he would see his wife or someone mentioned her.
A husband, a father, a grandfather, a son, and a brother — Kevin was so many things to so many people, and his memory will live on in each of them.
Though he is no longer here to walk beside us, or joke and laugh with us, he will forever remain a part of our hearts.

Always in my heart, Nummy. What a ride it was my friend.
I remember Kevin fondly growing up out on highway F in the country. I was 7 years younger and always trying to tag along with the older kids. I remember Kevin and his brother Walter showing us younger kids what we thought were crawdads once, who knows what we actually found. He was very kind to me as a child, and I am grateful to always think of him as a friend. He will be missed.
