Larry D. Boyd

Larry D. Boyd, 58, of Independence Missouri, passed away August 17, 2020.
He was born July 19, 1962 in Kansas city, Missouri to his late parents Beverly C. Boyd & Lawrence Boyd
Services to be determined at a later date.
Larry attended Van Horn high school from 1977-1979. He enjoyed things like hunting and fishing with his father in earlier years, he loved watching NASCAR, the chiefs play football, and listening to rock n roll. He was a former worker at Johnson Granite, Clarkson Power Flow Inc, & a tree foreman.
Larry was very well loved and will be missed by many.
Larry was preceded in death by his dog Sadie Mae; his parents Beverly & Lawrence Boyd, and sister Dianne Boyd.
He is survived by children Michael Schafer, Tina Schafer, Ryan Boyd, and Amanda Boyd; siblings Laureen “Laura” Leobo and
Catherine “Cathy” Boyd; & nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made directly to his children for burial costs.

    I knew Larry through my stepson, Jeff Klukow, who died a year ago. They have gone too early. My condolences to his family.

    This is so so much for the past 12 months, I can only imagine how the family feels. I know that the good die young.     Don’t count on it. Justice wasn’t served when his son killed 2 people.
