Laura L. Micus, 63, of Independence, Mo passed away on January 29, 2020 at 1:00AM at Centerpoint Medical Center. Memorial services will be held at 5PM, Friday, February 7, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church, 18000 E. Lexington Rd., Independence, Mo. Ms. Micus was born on November 23, 1956 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Laura graduated high school in 1975 from Penncrest Highschool in Media, Pennslyvania. She loved going to the beach in Wildwood and going to the boardwalk in Jersey. Laura had a passion for helping people, she worked in the medical field all of her life until her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed reading, watching crime shows and being with her family, especially her grandbaby, Rilynn.
She was preceded in death by John and Cecilia McLaughlin.
Survivors include significant other Kenneth Giddings, daughter Melissa Micus, son Mike Micus Thompson, granddaughter Rilynn, brother Harry (Helen) Marsh, sister Lisa Wark and Michelle and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

So very sad, Laura was a great sister in law. She will truly be missed.
